The last full day of the 7th annual Liberty Seminars had an amazing line-up of speakers. Dan Mitchell of the Cato Institute lead a discussion on fiscal policy.
What followed was a keynote speech of the 2014 Liberty Seminars delivered by the former Minister of Finance of Slovenia, Janez Sustersic, who spoke about how the country had failed to get out of the financial crisis. After a lively discussion with dr. Sustersic, we took a group photo against the backdrop of the beautiful Lake Bohinj.
For the two final sessions, we welcomed Anze Burger (Svetilnik), who led two discussions on the economics of liberty, and Oleg Manaev (International Institute for Socio-Economic & Political Studies), who took the participants behind the scenes of the Ukraine-Russia crisis.
The day ended with the debates among the participants. Early in the week, the participants had been divided into 4 groups, each of which picked a leader and two individuals to debate.
The very last event of the Liberty Seminars - graduation - ended a week full of ideas, discussions, and fun. Each debator recieved a token to remember the experience, while each participant of the seminarss received a certificate of completion of the Liberty Seminars 2014 and a pin of the Atlas Leadership Academy.
